Welcome to VELEMEGNA, an eye hospital in the heart of India that reaches out to those in need without regard to religion, caste, gender or social status. Since its inception in 1968, VELEMEGNA’s goal has been to heal those in physical distress, teach the fundamentals of caring for others as we care for ourselves and share the Good News of the gospel of Jesus Christ.

At Velemegna we believe that illness is a part of our common humanity and comes to us all in different forms by “divine permission” from God. We do not ask “why” but rather “how” can we help for it is our duty to help one another. However, it is more than our duty, it is our honour, our privilege and our joy to follow Christ’s example.
